Summer Camps

Please email your suggestions

East Bay Celiac Camp, Livermore

Taylor Foundation runs it in partnership with YMCA. Offer camps for children facing many types of health challenges (including a camp for kids with autism) that might make it difficult for them to attend a sleep over camp. The cabins were new and clean, the counselors were fantastic, the food was delicious and my son can not wait
to go back next year. Camps are typically 4-5 nights long, just long enough to give them a taste of being away from home.

Peninsula Camp Galileo, Burlingame

Liked by another parent but not for kids who are sound sensitive our easily riled up. They were very accommodating.

Peninsula Camp Altitude, Belmont

My 11-year-old son with Asperger's attended Camp Altitude this summer and really enjoyed it and made a lot of friends. Its is a traditional summer camp designed for special needs kids with a 3:1 adult child ration and trained counselors. I highly recommend it.

Peninsula Camp TecKnow How, Belmont

Good for second grade. They were very understanding and helpful provided you gave them information in advance. I typed up a sheet for them with all the information, triggers and how to help if things got difficult with our son.

South Bay Camp Jelfunira, Palo Alto

Good for 1st and 2nd grader. This is an accredited camp and mostly outdoors. It works for kids who like to be active, can handle kid noise and a moderate structure level.
